Its a new year!!

Phheww,

Its such a relief ending 2008 in one piece!

This has been one hell of a year!! Job promortion, divorce, engagement, family feuds over my impending marriage, dissapointments, good times, leading a more purposeful life, purchasing land...so much, so much has happened this year and I am eternally grateful to my lord for seeing me thru the highs and lows that characterised my year.

I am very optimistic about the times ahead. Apart from my issues with my mom, all my family and friends have been amazing! Thankful thankful.

My fiancee has been wonderful too. I broke the news to him that my mom was not happy with our plans. It was so difficult deciding on wether I should let him know or not and in the end, I did break it down for him and am so relieved that he took it well and renewed his commitment to loving me despite the hindrances we are facing. This has brought us even closer and lessened my insecurities.

My son has done considerably well this year, he is growing into a wonderful young man. Very expressive and loving. I see a bright future for him!!

I hope and pray the new year is filled with many good fortunes. These are my wishes:
- peace and harmony
- make peace with mom and get her to support me as I plan to take another chance at getting married
- get that call from Addis Ababa(oh how I want this so bad)
- great strides in my relationship
- better opportunities and good fortunes for my sibblings
- good health for my family
- debt free
- more days filled with laughter
- pray more
- improve my image and self
- more exercise
- independence(full fledged)
- simply be more happy!
